Hiya (“Hiya,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an online community for women founded by Rula Qassir Lolas. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect at forhiya.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We’ve tried to keep it human and honest, because trust matters to us as much as it does to you.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us.When you join the Hiya waitlist, you choose to share details such as your name, email address, age, the country or city you’re based in, what brings you to Hiya (your interests), and how you’d prefer to learn. You decide what to share; the form simply asks for what helps us build the right community for you.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect some technical information when you visit, such as your browser and device type, general (approximate) location, the pages you view, and how you arrived at our site. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).

2. How we use your information

• To add you to our waitlist and let you know when Hiya launches.
• To send you early access, updates, and occasional news about Hiya.
• To understand what our community wants so we can build courses and content that genuinely help.
• To operate, maintain, and improve our website and your experience on it.
• To protect Hiya, our visitors, and to comply with legal obligations.

We will never sell your personal information, and we don’t send spam, ever.

3. Our legal basis

We process your personal information based on your consent (which you give by joining the waitlist), our legitimate interest in growing and improving Hiya, and where necessary to comply with the law. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 8).

4. How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run Hiya, and only to the extent needed to do so, for example:

• Website hosting and infrastructure providers.
• Our database provider, which securely stores waitlist submissions.
• Analytics providers, including Google Analytics, that help us understand site usage.
• Email and communication tools we use to reach you.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Hiya and others.

5. International data transfers

Hiya serves women across Saudi Arabia, the wider Arab world, and beyond. Your information may be stored and processed in countries other than your own, where data protection laws may differ. Wherever your information is handled, we take steps to keep it protected in line with this policy.

6. Cookies & analytics

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them, together with tools like Google Analytics, to remember preferences and to measure how our site is used so we can improve it. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how parts of the site work. You can also opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

7. How long we keep your information

We keep your waitlist information for as long as you remain interested in Hiya or until you ask us to remove it. After that, we delete it or anonymise it, unless we’re required to keep it for legal reasons.

8. Your rights & choices

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or update it.
• Ask us to delete it or to stop using it.
• Withdraw your consent or unsubscribe from our emails at any time.

9. Children’s privacy

Hiya is intended for women aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Third-party links

Our site links to Hiya’s pages on Instagram and TikTok and may link to other sites. We’re not responsible for the privacy practices of those platforms, so please review their own policies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes may also be communicated to you directly.
